We are small breeders in the Adelaide hills suburb of
Belair and are members of
the Golden
Retriever Club of South Australia.
the South Australian Obedience Dog Club,
the South Australian Canine
Association
& The Golden Retriever Club of England.
We have had golden retrievers in our home and hearts for
over
30 years.
We attempt to
breed sound family orientated pedigree dogs from mature
pedigree bitches.
Our dogs are not kennel dogs and we share our house with our girls
Blossom, Whisky, Amy and Amy's daughter Bridie,
Bridie's grand dad Elmo
(Australian Champion Goldjazz lordov therings)
and our Burmese cat called Muffin
(she thinks she is a golden retriever and drops
on command).
Muffin is also introduced to all our puppies as a part of our puppy socialization
program
before they go to their new homes. (see her on our family photos page).
We do not breed so called designer dogs (read cross
breeds).
If it was a easy as these cross breed breeders claim to breed the good traits
of each breed then we would have bred the perfect dog a long while
ago.

This article
discusses the difference between a cross breed and a pedigree dog.
All of our breeding stock have current clear eye and heart
certificates
and have had their hips X
rayed and scored.
Pups are vet checked at one day old and again when they
are
vaccinated and micro chipped at six weeks before going
to their new owners at eight weeks.
All new owners receive Pedigree papers from SACA, (the dog
will be registered on the limited register) puppy pack
including a care and information booklet.
I.E. all our dogs are sold with papers.
